About MyRoam

Use MyRoam to get files out of backup through any web browser. It's perfect for quickly grabbing the file that you left back at the office or pulling a digital photo to show your mother-in-law. Your backed-up files are organized just like the files on your computer, laid out in the same drives and folders. Find deleted files, old versions of files, or retrieve a whole folder of files. Any grouping of files can be downloaded in a ZIP file.

The fastest way to restore your files is within the FileBackup, but when you're away from your computer, nothing beats the convenience of browser access through MyRoam.   (go to MyRoam)

What do I need to do?

You need two pieces of information to access MyRoam:

E-mail address – The e-mail address on the account. You can find or change your e-mail address within FileBackup. Go to the Options menu > Name and Address and check or set your e-mail address there.

Password – You need to set up a password for your account. Do this within FileBackup. Go to the Options menu > Security > Change Account Password.

That's it! Now you can access your backup files anytime, anywhere.   (go to MyRoam)

I don't want my backups available through a browser

You can optionally disable the MyRoam feature. This will keep your backups from being accessible through a browser. Just open FileBackup, go to the Options menu, select Security, and disable the option which says Allow files to be retrieved from a Web browser. Now your backups are only accessible from within your FileBackup software.
