FileCenter Professional aims to turn common, repetitious tasks into quick, one-click operations. For example, converting a file to PDF format in FileCenter Professional is as simple as clicking "Convert It". Adobe Acrobat is not required. Compare this with traditional methods, which require buying a copy of Acrobat, opening the document in its native application, printing to the Acrobat print driver, and then saving the output as a new file.

Advanced PDF Conversion with OCR

When converting scanned images into PDF format, FileCenter Professional can silently perform text recognition (OCR) on the scan, resulting in a PDF file which has searchable text in it.

Add Keywords to PDFs for Enhanced Search

To make your converted PDF files more searchable, add extra keywords and descriptions at the time of conversion. This text will not be visible in the document but it will improve full-text searching.

One-Click Creation of ZIP Files

A common operation is creating ZIP archives out of files or folders. ZIP archives are a convenient way to compress many files into a single file for e-mail or archival. FileCenter Professional will ZIP any file, folder, or drawer with just a mouse click.

PDF Print Driver

For those who wish to create PDF files from within other programs, FileCenter Professional provides a PDF print driver. Printing files or documents to the FileCenter Professional PDF print driver creates PDF files which can be viewed in any PDF viewer, such as Acrobat Reader. Adobe Acrobat is not required.
