File Management Features

Preview Window

FileCenter's built-in preview window provides real-time previews for most file types. Examine Word, WordPerfect, PDF, image, spreadsheet, and other text files without opening them.

"Move It" Tool

FileCenter provides a split-screen mode, making it easy to move drawers, folders or files between file cabinets. The split screen also helps you move files into a cabinet from other drives and folders in Windows.

Application Bar

The customizable application bar gives you quick access to your most-used programs and lets FileCenter work as the central hub for all of your activity. The application bar supports drag-and-drop and also lists the most recent files for some applications.

Folder Templates

Automate redundant folder creation through FileCenter's folder templates. Folder templates allow you to apply a standard folder layout to any drawer or folder. Folder templates are fully customizable. Build templates for all of your common layouts to standardize the way that your drawers are organized.

Optional Explorer Mode

In addition to its file cabinet layout, FileCenter also provides an explorer view. You can view your files either in cabinet mode or in explorer mode. You can also browse any drive or folder in Windows without leaving FileCenter.

Integrated Explorer Menus

FileCenter automatically picks up all of the right-click menu options available in Windows Explorer. FileCenter adapts to your system by integrating all of the Explorer menu options from your other Windows applications.

Network-Ready

FileCenter can use any drive on your computer, whether it's a local drive, a USB drive, CD-ROM, DVD, floppy disk, or network drive.

Share file cabinets by placing them on shared network drives. No additional setup or configuration is necessary. FileCenter will automatically inherit all of the drive settings and permissions from Windows.
