Integrate with Google Desktop Search, Windows Desktop Search, and Copernic

If you use one of the free desktop search engines, like Google Desktop Search, Windows Desktop Search, or Copernic, FileCenter will integrate with it seamlessly. FileCenter allows you to set your preferred desktop search engine as its default. Search results can be viewed, previewed, and filtered in FileCenter, regardless of which search engine you use.

Easy as a Web Search

Searching from FileCenter is as easy as a web search. A search query field is available right on the main FileCenter screen for quick searches. Simply provide any words or phrases you are interested in and FileCenter will use your preferred search engine to locate the documents.

Navigate Search Results Using Preview Window

Search results can be previewed inside of FileCenter without opening them. The preview also highlights search terms to make it easy to evaluate your results.

Move Up To Professional Searching

FileCenter Professional Includes FileFind

FileCenter Professional provides its own robust engine for searching your files. Whether the files are on your personal computer or on the network, FileCenter's FileFind tool will search them just like web pages. Searching documents in an office setting just got easy.

Advanced Search Options

In addition to natural language searching, FileFind also supports robust boolean searching, including word proximity searches. FileFind can expand your search results through fuzzy searching and stemming matches, or narrow your results by file name, file type, and file date.

Advanced Indexing

The heart of desktop search is a process called indexing. FileFind examines and indexes the full body of your files – any kind of files. According to a schedule which you set, it performs silent, incremental indexing of new and changed files each day, ensuring that all of your cabinets are searchable. In a network setting, the indexes can be shared on the network, ensuring that everyone is searching on the same data.

Feature Highlight – Favorite Locations

Do you access a handful of folders all the time? Quickly bookmark and jump to any location on your computer with FileCenter Favorites. Favorite locations can be in a cabinet, in Windows Explorer, and even a split-screen view with two places selected.
