FilePDF: PDF Software in Two Editions

FilePDF is PDF software for creating and manipulating PDF files. It comes in two editions:

• FilePDF Standard – Features a PDF viewer, thumbnail workspace, print driver, basic OCR, and the ability to split, join, and rearrange PDFs.
• FilePDF Professional – Adds scanning, improved OCR, automatic PDF separation, routing, and an integration with FileCenter.

Standard Features

The following features are included in all editions of FilePDF:

	PDF Reader & Viewer Use FilePDF to open and preview your PDF files. The tabbed interface keeps multiple open files at your fingertips. FilePDF will also let you view your TIFF scans and faxes.
	Thumbnail Desktop FilePDF's thumbnail mode gives you a high-level view of your PDF document. It's also the perfect place to reorganize pages, split a file, extract pages, etc.
	Stack, Shuffle, and Rearrange Use FilePDF to rearrange the pages in your PDF files with drag-and-drop simplicity. Move pages between PDF files, stack multiple files together, or split a file into multiple PDFs.
	Perform OCR  (Optical Character Recognition) If you have scanned documents, FilePDF can make them searchable and indexable through OCR. Or, pull the text out of a PDF and send it to your word processor.
	Print to PDF Turn Word documents, web pages, e-mail, or any other kind of file to PDF. Just print your documents to FilePDF's included PDF printer to turn them into accurate PDF files.

Professional Features

The following features are only available in the Professional edition:

	Document Scanning FilePDF Professional features one-click scanning for efficiently moving paper to PDF. Works with most desktop scanners (TWAIN or WIA compatible).
	Automatically OCR All Scans FilePDF integrates OCR as a seamless part of the scanning process. Literally go from paper to searchable PDF in one mouse click. Use the built-in engines or your own favorite.
	Scan to Word If all you care about is the document text, why not just scan straight to Word? FilePDF can scan your document, extract the text, and place it in your favorite word processor.
	Automated Document Separating & Routing For high-volume scanning, FilePDF can automatically split a stack of scans into individual files. It can even auto-save those files to pre-determined destinations.
	Add Scanning to FileCenter For even more scanning convenience, FilePDF Professional adds scanning capability to FileCenter Professional. Scan directly into any FileCenter location.
