The most common way to create a new cabinet is through the Cabinet Creation Wizard. Click the Cabinets button on the FileCenter button bar and then click the Add button. The wizard will guide you through the cabinet creation process. For help with the wizard, see The Cabinet Creation Wizard.
In addition to using the wizard, you can create a new cabinet while within Explorer Mode (see Add a Cabinet from Explorer Mode). You can also create multiple cabinets at once or import cabinet definitions using the Add Multiple Cabinets feature.
The name of the cabinet that you are working in is displayed in the Cabinet list:

To work in a different cabinet, simply select its name from the drop-list:

After selecting a cabinet, you will see its drawers displayed in FileCenter's drawer view on the left side of the dialog.
Deleting a file cabinet is a safe operation. No data will be deleted from your system. To explain, a file cabinet is just a pointer to some location on your computer. Deleting a file cabinet simply entails removing this pointer in FileCenter so that the cabinet will no longer be listed. All of the data in the file cabinet itself — drawers, folders and files — will continue to exist on your computer and can be accessed through the native Windows filesystem. In other words, all of the files you save in a file cabinet will still be available to your Windows programs after the file cabinet is deleted. They simply won't be visible in FileCenter any longer. To see where the cabinet data resides in the Windows filesystem, see Where is the Cabinet in Windows?
To delete a cabinet, click the Cabinets button on the button bar to open up the Cabinets dialog. Locate and click the name of the cabinet you wish to remove from FileCenter and click Delete.
If you have been indexing your cabinet for FileFind, the cabinet will no longer be indexed or searchable after it has been deleted from FileCenter.
